6. When you are ready for round 1 to start, click "start now"

Pairing new rounds

Once you have your tournament setup and names entered you're ready to go! But what next?

1. Always start by logging in to au.Tornelo.com

2. If you don't have your login details please use the email address you registered with and click "forgot password".

3. Go to the "My Tournaments" menu in the top right

4. Select Chess Challenge

5. Do a "roll call" and check off the players who will be taking part in this round.

6. Click Pair Next Round and only the players who have been selected as present will be paired into the next round.

7. Enter results by clicking the word WIN that is closest to the player who won the game. Or DRAW, if that was the result.

8. Pairings are usually done after all results are entered, but can be done at any time and results update later on.

Editing Pairings / Absent Players

If you have done the pairings first and then come to play a round, but not all players are present ... what then?

This video shows you how to edit or change pairings on the fly.

The key to remember is that players who are in attendance for the session should either be playing a game or should score 3 points for the BYE.

A player who isn't present should be listed as "Unpaired" and will score 0 points. A player who is listed as having "lost" a game will score 1 point for the loss.
